As a young, grass-roots foundation, located and rooted in our northern Galilee region, Galila is best equipped to know what is needed most, where are the true priorities and who is best able to provide the solutions for those priority needs. Life in Israel, and this region in particular, is very dynamic and there are changes all the time. We are committed to getting involved only in those areas we research and then determine as authentic priorities, serving populations that 'fall between the cracks' and where our contribution has added value.
- the young children and teen populations across our region need a collection of interventions that will meet their specific needs.
- the elderly and frail residents - the original pioneers and founders of the northern Galilee communities, now in their golden years are lacking so many basic needs.
- there are special populations that urgently require attention - whether they are children of the former Lebanese (South Lebanon Army veterans) or elderly concentration camp & ghetto survivors, WW2 veterans and partisans, some of them frail and alone, who live on meager pensions.
Galila reaches out to all populations in the northern Galilee who need our help - without discrimination. We do so with a sense of purpose and mission. We know that, in most cases, we are the only address for philanthropic intervention and care for these residents and - on their behalf - we are determined to succeed.
